What can I help you with?
With the broad range of experience I have, I can probably help you with whatever you need and do so at a reasonable rate.
Some examples of that experience include working in education, broadcasting, archaeology and food service. And that’s not listing all of them! And then what did I do in all those industries? It ranges from administrative, support and leadership. Again that’s not the full list.
Yes, that’s a lot of different things, but that’s me, with a diverse set of skills and interests.
What people say.
“Mark Woodson’s greatest skill is not his vast culinary expertise or technological insight, his

greatest skill is his ability to compassionately approach others and creatively solve problems,
and, with imagination and boundary smashing insight, to use the resources at hand, to engage
others in programs that promote thriving and sustainability”
“His calm demeanor when he was under great pressure from sales and account managers to have things done immediately helped the office climate to run smoothly.
JoAnn McGilvray
“Mark also has a special way with people. He values them as unique individuals, helps them believe they are capable of more than they know, and proves that their ideas are valuable by doing what he can to incorporate them .”
Jessica Escamilla
“Overall, Mark has an ability to manage complex challenges with a steady hand and a

creative mind, and I would highly recommend him for any role that requires a dedicated,
resilient, and collaborative team member.”
Primary Areas of Experience
Tech

I’ve got a broad base of experience in IT. Technology, of the computer variety, has always been something I found engaging. From writing programs and playing games on my uncle’s Vic20 to designing and building applications and the needed databases for Cultural Resources Management, and a whole lot of things in between. End user tech support, network administration, web design, software development and systems administration to name a couple. You can find more details here.
Graphic Design

My experience in graphic design started as a teenager getting to work with the initial beta for Ventura Publisher. And then, once Adobe ported Illustrator and Photoshop over to Windows no longer being Mac only programs. Having, for a number of years, run my own small graphic design business I have experience designing logos, creating ads, putting together product catalogs, laying out business cards and letterhead and a number of additional job types.
Culinary Arts

This is where the last, almost two decades has been focused. I’ve always loved food, and especially getting creative with it. Things started with helping to feed archaeologists at a number of field schools up in the forest somewhere. And then it turned into feeding staff and students at the Grove School and running the lunch program for around 15 years. Serving around a hundred freshly prepared meals. And those meals were every day different, and quite often food from other cultures and parts of the world.
