I have quite a bit of experience with IT/Tech related work.
That spans handling end user tech support needs. Troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Dealing with server and infrastructure issues.
And then there’s experience developing websites and applications using, you guessed it, a broad range of platforms. Developing an app built on Access using the built in VBA. Building an iPhone/iPad app using C++. Crafting a web based platform for handling lunch program signups/orders, recipe and production recordings for NSLP compliance documentation and sales/pickup information that was built on Apache/Django in Python.
Some things require significant bits of data to be stored and accessible in a way that will require its manipulation and use be architected in particular ways for performance, usability and flexibility. I have experience building these kinds of structures, and actually kind of like it! The two best examples of this are the work I did at Statistical Research, Inc. with what got called SRID. Building out a structure that could be used for capturing materials origins in an excavation through its storage, analysis and repatriation. The other would be building Time4Lunch which handled meal and menu planning, reports on needed ingredients for those meals, meal ordering and signups, meal production, sales and meal pickups and then reports to provide insight into each step through the process.
More info to come.
